Recently, the 3rd Shandong University Students' Career Planning Competition, also the Shandong Provincial Selection for the 3rd National University Students' Career Planning Competition, has come to a successful conclusion. After fierce contests through the university preliminary round, provincial semi-finals and provincial finals, Ma Xiangyi, a 2024 master’s student in our laboratory, won the Bronze Award in the Higher Education Postgraduate Group of the Employment Track.
Hosted by the Department of Education of Shandong Province and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Shandong Province, this competition attracted 1.89 million teachers and students from 166 universities across the province to participate. In the university preliminary round, 15,401 students of our university signed up for the event. After rounds of selection, Ma Xiangyi qualified for the provincial finals by ranking first in the Higher Education Postgraduate Group of the Employment Track.
During the provincial semi-finals and finals, rooted in the patriotism of serving the country through energy development, Ma Xiangyi took AI Product Manager in Energy Enterprises as his career goal. With solid professional competence, clear presentation logic and excellent on-site performance, he fully demonstrated his professional expertise, personal strengths, career aspirations and development paths, highlighting the profound sense of national pride and vibrant youthful spirit of students from China University of Petroleum.
