China University of Petroleum (East China) conferred Honorary Professorship on Prof. Sergey Abrameyko on July. 5, 2023. Academician Sergey Abrameyko of Belarusian State University paid a visit to the university. Huang Fang, director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department, had a discussion with the guests and issued honorary professor appointment letters on behalf of the university.
Huang Fang introduced the development of the school, its disciplinary advantages, and the achievements made in international education in recent years. He hoped that Sergey Abrameko would cooperate more with the school in scientific research and talent cultivation. Sergey Abrameko fully affirmed the school's leading position in the energy field and congratulated the school on its upcoming 70th anniversary. He expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of cooperation between the two sides in the future.
During his time at school, Sergei Abrameko participated in the 78th Huangdao Forum and gave an academic report titled "Object Changes and Detection in Remote Sensing Images".
Sergey Abrameyko, an academician of the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, the Belarusian National Academy of Engineering, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Academia Europaea, the Asia Pacific Association of Artificial Intelligence, and the International Pattern Recognition Association, is currently a professor of the Belarusian State University. Academician Sergey is a recipient of the Belarusian National Award for Best Young Scientist, the Belarusian National Award (the highest national science award), and the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences Award for Best Scientist. Academician Sergey has published 67 works and over 300 academic papers in international journals and conferences. Academician Sergey has served as the editor in chief of international journals such as Informatics, Vesti Nacionalnoi Academii Nauk Belarusi, series: physics, mathematics, information, and deputy editor in chief of Vestnik Vyshei Shkoly.
